FACT: Many eye conditions have no obvious signs or symptoms until it’s too late.

Many factors go into determining how regularly you should have an eye exam including your age, medical history, family history, if you wear contact lenses and your occupation. But if you’re noticing vision problems, it’s been awhile, or you can’t remember the last time you saw an eye doctor, you’re probably due.

FACT: We recommend that every patient should receive an annual eye exam.

Gateway Vision has a have a team of experienced optometrists that put patient care first. Our eye care office focuses on eye health and refining your prescriptions (glasses & contact lenses) to ensure that you see the world clearly today and tomorrow. 

Routine eye exams become increasingly more important as we get older. The prevalence of eye disease elevates as we enter into our 60’s and 70’s, with eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) becoming more common. As with most eye diseases, early detection is the key to preventing or delaying devastating vision loss.

Should your exam uncover something that requires further eye care treatment or care by an ophthalmologist, our office will take care of the arrangements. We are also equipped to provide complete post-operative eye care for surgeries such as cataracts.
